Norris Lake Parks & Camping
Cove Lake State Park
Cove Lake State Park’s 673 acres are situated in a beautiful mountain valley setting in Campbell County TN, and connected to Norris Lake. There are scenic nature trails and bike trails leading through the open grasslands and woodlands. In the winter, several hundred Canada Geese make this lakeshore their feeding ground. Nearby is the Devil’s Race Track whose steep pinnacle rock affords a panoramic view.

Norris Dam State Park
Norris Dam State Park occupies more than 4,000 acres on the shores of Norris Lake and surrounds Norris Dam. Caves, scenic valleys, sparkling streams and a virgin forest are among the natural wonders of the Park. The Park has cabins, a visitor center, campgrounds, meeting rooms, a recreation center including a pool, playgrounds, a marina, and the Lenoir Museum Historical Complex.

Big Ridge Park
The heavily forested, 3,687-acre park lies on the southern shore of TVA’s Norris Reservoir approximately 25 miles north of Knoxville. Visitors to the park will find a wealth of activities to meet any interest from guided nature tours to backcountry camping. Oak Ridge TN Events and Festivals 2009
Oak Ridge TN is an Appalachian town steeped in mystery and now host to a number of memorable events and festivals. Located roughly 25 minutes from the northern areas of Norris Lake, and only 14 miles from the Norris Lake Dam, the events, festivals and day trip opportunities in Oak Ridge are well worth the short trip!

Dogwood Arts Festival
This festival is held every April in Knoxville. The “dogwood trails” are driving tours through the beautiful spring countryside. They also feature performing arts, visual arts, crafts, photography, music and children’s activities, an outdoor sculpture exhibition, and a “chalk walk,” with many events centered around downtown’s historic Market Square.

American Museum of Science and Energy
The museum opened in 1949 in an old wartime cafeteria. It was originally named the American Museum of Atomic Energy. Its guided tours took visitors through the peaceful uses of atomic energy. The present facility, opened in 1975, continues to provide the general public with energy information. The name of the museum was changed to the American Museum of Science and Energy (AMSE) in 1978.

Crowndezvous 2010
The 2010 National Crowndezvous will be held at the most beautiful lake in the central United States, Norris Lake from Thursday, June 17th to Sunday, June 20th, 2010. Norris Lake has hosted many of the Crowndezvous’s in the past. The first official Crowndezvous was held at Norris Lake with the catalog photo shoot being shot on site. Many of you were in the catalog that year.
